New Zealand Esports Federation
The first ever esports test match between Australia and New Zealand is happening this weekend! Teams representing both countries will compete in Dota 2 and Rocket League, with the winners of each matchup claiming Oceania’s spot at the upcoming Commonwealth Esports Championships — which will be held alongside the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England, on the 6th and 7th of August.
Not only will the winning teams get to compete for further international glory, the country with the most qualifying teams will also be awarded the McRae Cup for the first time, a brand-new trophy put up for grabs each time Australia and New Zealand do battle in official international esports events.
Broadcast Schedule:
11am — Dota 2 Women’s Final
2pm — Dota 2 Open Final
7pm – Rocket League Open Final
All matches will be streamed live on Twitch on the LetsPlay.Live channel
